Well, today we went on my first "excursion" in NJC. The word "excursion" just feels so primary school-ish. Haha. So we visited OCS (Officer Cadet School) or SAFTI Military Institute. Just another attempt to brainwash us to feel patriotic and whatnot. Haha. But I won't say the visit was totally boring, there were some interesting demonstrations plus the few eyecandies there (:

Our day started off with us having to report for morning assembly after what seems like eons of not having to. Ok lah, it's been only a week but waking up at 6am seems like such a distant feeling. Haha. Instructions were given out for us to get into groups of 40 and stand in front of the cadets holding up the cards. And qw made sure we stood in front of the most good-looking cadet there, which after close scrutiny, wasn't that cute. Haha. But thankfully, he was joined by another cadet who is waaayyy cuter and who we like to call "long eyelash guy". Haha. He just made my day(:

Ok after that was blablabla. Shan't go into all the boring details. Let me see, the first thing I remember was Ah Meng getting his face painted GREEN! Haha. Then we went into some jungle/forest to learn some of the survival methods they use. We got to try the SAF insect repellent and it works! Not a single creepy crawlie came near me!! Should have gotten it for OBS and whatever camps I've been to. Haha. Then, there were demonstrations of the weapons and whatnot used. And my classmates were so sporting - they did a great job participating in all the demonstrations. So proud of them (: Heh. And lastly, we had some lecture cum short demonstration on Night Vision Goggles, which meant sleep time for me. Can't blame me cos I was feeling damn hot, tired and HUNGRY ):

But the best part was definitely the class photo taking sessions. Haha. We took class photos with all our three guides and after that, someone came up with a damn embarrassing idea of taking individual photos with the three guides. It was damn stupid lah. The three guides were like statues and we were taking turns to take photos with them. Haha. That was not what we intended but in the end, I guess it's ok 'cos we did get to take photos with them, more importantly, 'long eyelash guy'. Hehe. I shall the post the pictures when I get them and then, you can judge for yourselves how cute he really is. Heeeheeee.

So that about wraps up what I did today 'cos after I got home all I did was sleeeeeeeep my lazy ass off. Haha. And now I'm off to do my looonnngggg overdue first draft of I&R :(
